Moth RadioLow Ceiling
A debut that sounds like it was recorded with the lights off, in the best way
Moth Radio turn bedroom anxiety into eleven songs that keep getting bigger the closer you listen.

The first sound on Low Ceiling is a chair scraping across a wooden floor. It’s not a joke or an intro. It’s a statement of where this record lives: in a small room, close to the microphone, with nothing hidden.
Moth Radio is a fictional band. This sample shows how a review looks, with its score tile. Loud Picks get a yellow tile.
Say what the record is trying to do
A review needs an argument in the first two paragraphs. Here: the band is trying to make intimacy sound huge, and mostly succeeds. Everything else in the review tests that claim.
Point to moments, not adjectives
Two minutes into “Kitchen Light” the drums drop out and the bass carries the song alone for eight bars. That’s a better description than “atmospheric” will ever be.
Land the verdict
Where does it fall short, and does that matter? A score without a reason is just a number.
